Professional Delivery Recommended

Although ECL strongly recommends professional delivery of all furniture, we understand that this is not always possible and some customers may wish to pick up their own furniture purchases either at an ECL store or warehouse.

Manpower

All customers picking up their own furniture must bring enough manpower to bring any item(s) to and in their vehicle. It is recommended that everyone involved in this be a minimum of 18 years of age and be in good physical condition. Keep in mind that our furniture is made from solid hardwoods and can be quite heavy.

Wrapping Materials

Customers must bring their own wrapping materials—blankets, cardboard, foam cushions, etc.—as well as the proper strappings to secure all items during transport.

Storage of Merchandise

Because of a severe lack of storage in our store locations, all items must be picked up within 3 business days from the date of purchase. Should this not be possible, all items will be transferred to our warehouse and items must then be scheduled to be picked up at that location. In certain cases, if storage of any item exceeds 30 days, additional storage fees may apply.

Damages

Any items that are personally picked up by a customer from ECL cannot be returned to the store for a refund should any damages be discovered at a later date.  Customers must carefully inspect all items before signing the Liability Waiver and picking up their item(s). Standard Return & Exchange policies apply for any undamaged items.

Liability Waiver

Any customer picking up their own furniture in any of ECL’s locations relieves ECL and its employees of all responsibilities regarding the movement of furniture from an ECL store or warehouse to the customer’s home or final destination. This includes, but is not limited to, damages caused to any items being moved, the customer’s vehicle, and/or the final destination of the item.

Customer will also be held responsible for any accidents and/or damages caused to any of ECL’s stores, warehouses, merchandise, customers and employees.

Customer Pickup Agreement

I have read, understand, and agree to the provisions set forth by the Purchase Agreement attached to my receipt, as well as the Liability Waiver outlined above.
